Introducing Parents Supporting Parents
A family owned and operated home healthcare agency connecting parent caregivers with the services and support they need.
As parents of kiddos with disabilities, medical fragility, and support needs, we understand how challenging daily life is. Navigating Medicaid alone is difficult — adding in waivers creates a completely different type of challenge. All of this on top of being a caregiver is enough to make you throw in the towel.
At Parents Supporting Parents we say…“DON’T!”
While our employment options don’t start until waiver approval and setup is in place, our support begins right away! We have so many parents who have already navigated this system and are willing to provide support, resources, flow charts, and more.
Parents Supporting Parents, LLC is about sharing:

We are dedicated to providing a positive, supportive, and balanced WORKPLACE for parent caregivers providing In Home Support Services (IHSS) under the Children’s Home and Community Based Services (CHCBS) Waiver, Complimentary and Integrative Health (CIH) Waiver, and the Elderly, Blind, and Disabled (EBD) Waivers.
We provide training, care plan support, Medicaid billing, simple time keeping, and resource sharing for issues that may arise outside of our expertise.
My Story
I am a mom of 5 kids, 3 homemade and 2 adopted. My parenting journey has looked nothing like I “expected”, but I have learned to see the beauty in the unknown paths.
My 3 homemade daughters all have significant medical, mental, and developmental challenges - we say “you don’t want to swim in our gene pool!” But they are kind, helpful, compassionate, and I absolutely adore them. My 2 adopted have complex trauma from their origin stories, one much more significantly that the other. I adore them and am so proud of the work they are doing to improve their world views.
Yet, we thrive. We travel. We have 2 adorable pups. We learn. We fail. We get back up. We find ways to find the tiniest miracles in our day - even if it is just “well, we survived the day.”
Our Story
I decided to start Parents Supporting Parents because I hope to be able to provide both an avenue for parent caregivers to get paid for caring for their children and, just as importantly, a place where parents can find support, ideas, resources, guidance, and training. I hope to create a community where our commonalities become the source of friendships, strength, and self-compassion. I am not perfect, I will make mistakes, I will fail, but I will never stop trying. I am always open to constructive criticism, ideas, corrections, and suggestions for improvement.
As a parent, I need TONS of support, especially support from other parents! If I have learned anything over my almost 19 years of parenting kiddos with special and unique needs (I call them “determined”), it is that every parent has different experiences, information, ideas, and resources to share. Even now, I learn things and find helpful resources from parents who have only parented for a year. I never discount any advice or ideas! This is the support system that we want to create and share.
